Birdwatching Activities
Three day trip to the Danube Delta
The prices are includes:
- accomodation
- all the transports from the airport and back
- guideing
- taxes for Biosphere Reserve, ticket for Histria's museum
- meals: breakfast, lunch (packed for field trips), dinner
- mineral water and 2 cofees daily
- maps
 
Accomodation will be on house boat (floating hotel) equiped with: 5 bathrooms, 10 twin bed cabins, (sunproof) terrace, restaurant and bar, air condition and heating system in the restaurant and in the cabins. There is full time hot and cold water in all of the bathrooms. The qualified chef who prepares you the most delicious local specialities is helped by the boat's personnel who will serve you along your trip. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available from the bar.
 
X1 Day: We will head toward Tulcea to our accomodation. Before to arrive on Tulcea we will make a stop in Niculitel celery for wine tasting.
We'll get to our accomodation on the floating hotel late afternoon and will start our trip in Danube Delta an Sulina arm heading toward Maliuc willage. We will have our meal on bord. For narrow channels and remote areas we will use a small boat.
X2 Day: In the morning we'll leave for Letea, which is a typically representative village in the delta. We will take a short walk just to the edge of the forest. The area is very good for seeing many rare birds like pelicans and pigmy cormorants. The plants in the forest are: White Poplar, Ash, two species of Oak (Quercus pedunculiflora and Q. robur), Sea Buckthorn shrubs, Salix rosmarinifolia, Hippophaetum rhamnoides. In the evening, the floating hotel will move along the Old Danube towards the Lopatna channel where we will spend the night. The mooring place is close to a mixed colony of Herons, Egrets and Cormorants, and a colony of Terns.
X3 Day: That day we visit the lipovan village, Mila 23, together with lakes Furtuna and Baclanesti. From the deck the areas around Nebunu, Sireasa and Periteasca will be explored. We will go towards Crisan where we will overnight.
X4 Day: We will head back toward Tulcea and departure to Bucharest, depending on the time of your flight we will stop on Histria's Greek-Roman ruins.
